HAT HISTORY LECTURES AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
Over 30 years of research and professional millinery training have led to a successful second career as a teacher of millinery history, public speaker, and millinery consultant. The current portfolio includes a series of interesting, educational and exciting lectures and dazzling vintage hat shows. Topics include subjects such as Hat Styles Through the Decades, 150 years of Haute Couture Hats, History of Hat Making, Restoration Techniques, Famous Milliners and Hat Designers, History of Ostrich Farms and the Feather Trade, A Tour through Victorian Era Parisian Millinery Salons, A Titanic Era Edwardian Hat Show, Hollywood Hats, and more. An ever changing, dazzling display of rare antique or vintage hats accompanies every event.
Events can be hosted for corporations, museums, business associations, schools, fund raisers, charity events and historical societies,
as well as custom shows for smaller groups of 25 or more.
As an example of the caliber of our presentations, a recent Southern California art gallery show of vintage French Haute Couture and American hats from our private collection, which I produced, was accepted to The Smithsonian Institute’s Art Walk
calendar of events. I am currently the Millinery Historian In Residence at the Pasadena Museum of History in California.
The theme of the lecture or display can be tailored to
your specifications, or you may choose from the current list of themes.

Antique Titanic Era Hats Fashion Show
Our newest antique hat show for Spring and Summer 2012 is now in the works, and will be a very special afternoon commemorating the 100th anniversary of the sinking of The Titanic. Featuring a dazzling fashion show of genuine antique Edwardian Era hats, created by some of the most famous French and American milliners of all time, this event will be offered for a very limited number of engagements. We are located in the Southern California/Los Angeles area, but some of our vintage hat shows can travel to locations throughout the USA.
