ANTIQUE & VINTAGE HAT SHOWS,
PRESENTATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
Over 30 years of research and professional millinery training have led to a successful second career as a teacher of millinery history, public speaker, and millinery consultant. The current portfolio includes a series of interesting, educational and exciting lectures and dazzling vintage hat shows. Topics include subjects such as Hat Styles Through the Decades, 125 years of Haute Couture Hats, History of Hat Making, Re-Styling and Restoration Techniques, Famous Milliners and Hat Designers, History of Ostrich Farms and the Feather Trade, A Tour through Victorian Era Parisian Millinery Salons, A Titanic Era Edwardian Hat Show, Hollywood Hats, Downton Abbey Hats, and more. An ever changing, dazzling display of rare antique or vintage hats accompanies every event.
Events can be hosted for corporations, museums, business associations, schools, fund raisers, charity events and historical societies,
as well as custom shows for smaller groups of 15 or more.
As an example of the caliber of the presentations, my Southern California show of vintage French Haute Couture and American hats from my private collection, was accepted to The Smithsonian Institute’s Art Walk
calendar of events. My most recent event was in conjunction with PBS SoCal, as their guest presenter, and held aboard the legendary ship The Queen Mary, as PBS celebrated the Spring 2014 “Downton Abbey” premier event weekend.
Currently, I am the Millinery Historian In Residence at the Pasadena Museum of History in California.
The theme of the lecture or display can be tailored to
your specifications, or you may choose from the current list of themes.
We will be happy to work within your group or company’s budget to create
a special event that is both affordable and memorable.
