Christian Dior Coque Feather 1950s Cocktail Hat

Perfect for the holidays and beyond. A simply stunning, vintage 1950’s cocktail hat. Luxurious French coque feathers in a waterfall cascade over a black velvet pillbox base. Label is the French Haute Couture fashion designer, Christian Dior.
The feathers have a beautiful glow and the colors change from black to green, to gold and wine, as the light plays over the plumage. Ivory satin label reads Christian Dior, Paris, New York. Vintage is 1950’s, although it looks as if it came right off of today’s Paris runway. I like it tilted forward for a very sultry couture appeal!
No size, this is a pillbox style meant to fit all heads, and the base of stiffened French net has two small faux tortoise combs to keep it secure at the proper tilted angle.
Condition is very good. The feathers are lovely, no shedding or breaks. The hat is very clean and has been well stored in a private home. No wear or soiling, no odors or tears. Combs are secure.
