I read your article in the Victoria magazine! How marvelous that u have followed your true passion all these years- I too have a strong passion for all things vintage, especially hats!! I would love to maybe start an Etsy shop but have little knowledge in the business of reselling vintage hats/accessories ; Any tips?
saw your article in Victoria … used to work in theatre doing costumes and millinery … after a long hiatus, I have decided to explore that world again … taking a millinery course … thoroughly enjoying it … your article reminded of all the reasons why I want to get back to that world
I am a longtime lover of hats and recently learned that my paternal great grandmother and her sister were milliners in Chicago in the 1890’s. Their shop was Moyer & Company. (And I am not far from you, in Los Alamitos.)
Saw your article in Victoria…had no idea you were in Long Beach! I used to work there a few months ago…have to go down and visit!
Read the article in Victoria magazine. Admire you -love your work and story.
I am so glad I found your website I am a new milliner and love incorporating some type of vintage in my hats. I was considering letting go of my huge collection of vintage hats any suggestions.
A lover of vintage pretties, I enjoyed the article and reminded me to don’t downsize quite yet and just enjoy my stuff and never grow old!!
Enjoyed the article in Victoria magazine. I have been researching on the web for millinery and hat makers for some time. I am most interested in all that is antique. Would you have any recommendation for hat making classes in the New England area? I have taken one weekend with Elsie Collins In Providence RI and enjoyed it very much. I could also do some classes in the LA area and San Jose area. Any other recommendations?
My husband and I both grew up in LB I definitely will find you next time we are there I feel like I have found a true friend!
What a feast, I’ve enjoyed the read in Victoria Magazine and was intrigued, I recently learned to fashion flowers for hats from my mother, and sold out, everything I made all at once. I would to learn from a real pro. I am a mixed media artist. Thanks you for keeping this art going, and sharing the links. Teresita
Congrats on a fantastic Article in Victoria Magazine! Everything about it was wonderfu. Kudos!
I have been looking for years at hat companies. My quest is to purchase the straw hat Kate Winslet wore in Sense & Sensibility. (She wore a black lace scarf over it). Can you help?
I am excited to know we will meet you aboard The Queen Mary for the PBS event celebrating season 4 of Downton Abbey. My wife and I will be wearing Edwardian clothing and will look for you in the Queen’s Salon. Cheers!

When I would visit the Lazarus department store in Columbus, OH with my mother, we would pass a delightful hat shop with ever changing designs in the display windows. By my teen’s the shop was gone but beautiful memories remain…….
I’m so glad that the intenret allows free info like this!
great video but it left of political hats.Anne Bolyn, wore a frnech (rounded) hat- Catherine (queen) wore a peaked hat.At first all the women in court wore peaked hats like the queen.but as Anne came power, and Catherine fell from his grace, the head wear of the court changed until even Catherine’s maids (Ladies in Waiting) wore the round frnech cap of Anne BolynPeople talk of wearing your heart on your sleeve but in Henry the 8th court, your hat was the symbol of your alliance.(and in early 19 C., it was Dolly Madison who set the style for turbans which she wore till her death )But as you know better than most for most of history Clothes doth maketh the man (and woman) and we still have resident memories (it was in the 13th century that felons were marked with wearing broad horizontal stripes now days its orange jump suits except in cartoons were prisoners still wear broad horizontal stripes!
Great work, keep it up.
Thank you for your help with my mother’s hat collection. You were so generous and your knowledge is amazing. Best of success to you!

Your site is lovely and although I can’t really afford the Edwardian straw hat that has never been worn for $585 I can still appreciate it and drool over it (but not too close I promise), and to learn about an art form that is so fabulous! Keep up the great work! Hugs from New Hampshire USA, Beth
Incredible! This is an awesome, totally authentic site, so nice to see quality products, keep up the good work.
I am a hat maker and lover of vintage hats especially of the 1930s-1960s.
I’ve collected hats for many years, but my favorites are my “oldy-goldies”. I also collect antique clothing, and found your lovely add in my ‘Teatime’ magazine issue that I was enjoying. Who knew that all of the years of collecting all of these hats would become not only a pleasure, but because of lupus thinning my hair, a real necessity!
I saw your ad in Romantic Homes… I have one room devoted to my Victorian passion… it’s MY playroom. My Grand Children think Ii am silly, but they sure have fun with me in :The Talking Room” as they have named it.
