Christian Dior 1948 Side Draped Felt Hat,New Look
A scarce find, as this is a very very early Christian Dior chapeau. Dates from 1948, the height of the New Look era. Made in France, designed by Dior himself. A lush and substantial, supple and velvety soft, thick fur felt which has been expertly draped to a profile effect. Rich color of tabac or golden tan. Pay special attention to those labels, you do not see them often.
A special prize for the hat and millinery collector.

CONDITION is very good. clean, no soiling, no moth bites, color is fresh and even. It looks lovelier in person than it does in my photos. Very supple and dense fur-felt.
