DOWNTON ABBEY on THE QUEEN MARY……. & Rue de la Paix!
PBS
is celebrating the start of the 2014 season of their biggest hit show
ever…. DOWNTON ABBEY! The celebration will be aboard the legendary
Queen Mary, docked in Long Beach California, on Saturday Jan 4th.
Please check the PBS SoCal website for tickets and information on this
once-in-a-lifetime event. Dress in your best antique finery or wear a
special hat and come on board to join PBS and fellow Downton Abbey
lovers from around the world for an exclusive sneak peak preview of the
2014 premier episode, a cocktail hour, a grand afternoon tea, dinner,
brunch, and you can even stay aboard the luxurious Queen Mary in a stateroom
overnight! Stroll the decks with fellow Downton Abbey fans, and have a
great time while supporting PBS and the arts.

Rue de la Paix has been
invited to be a part of this very special event! We will be aboard the Queen Mary, set up in the
spacious Queen’s Salon with a dazzling display of museum worthy antique hats and
French millinery to delight and add a little something extra to the
weekend’s events. The hats date from the 1910s to 1920s “Downton Abbey” time period and were selected from my private collection
(for display only, not for sale), especially for the guests of this
special event. Please stop by to peruse the hats during the cocktail hour. I would love to meet you. We hope to see you there!
