Vintage Borsalino Fedora Hat 1940s Indigo Blue
Vintage Borsalino Fedora ..and this one is for a woman! Vintage woman’s Borsalino Fedora hat is from the 1940’s, and in lush indigo blue velour fur felt….Fine quality felt is flexible, buttery soft, with a velvety hand finish….and is oh so supple……This is the real deal, and is THE genuine Classic Film Noir fedora…and just about the most sultry woman’s hat on the planet, in my opinion.
Size is a woman’s mdm large, and is marked 22 1/2. Condition is excellent….clean, fresh with no flaws to note.
Not much needed to describe this, except to say that Borsalino hats are THE best in the world, and to find a lady’s vintage fedora by them is almost impossible to do…..And this one is such a beautiful shade of midnight blue…..The crown has a silk grosgrain band , and the felt is SO supple that you can not only shape the brim a number of ways…and snap it up or down not…….you can shape the crown to your desire as well…….It has a soft, masculine pleat across the top, but you can round the crown or change it, give it a notch in front, teardrop it, pork pie it….as with any real Borsalino fur felt…..We like it the way it is shown…..Inner sweatband is a mauve rose satin and has Borsalino stamped in gilt gold….White satin tip liner as shown bears all the requisite Borsalino information….
Vintage is late 1940’s….The vintage Borsalino hatbox is not included, (sorry) but please inquire as to its availability…
In the Mood Indigo…or any mood, this hat is gorgeous and incredibly scarce and is sure to be your favorite hat for many decades.
Condition is excellent….super clean, fresh with no flaws to note. No soiling or fading (any lightness in the photos is from my camera flash)…No moth bites or damage…. This has been very well stored in a private home, pet and smoke free. Inside is clean with no flaws. Felt is supple and buttery soft…silk ribbon is lovely with no flaws….the hat may show ever so slight signs of previous wearing but I found no visible flaws, and I am very picky.
